Beach glass comes in all sizes, shapes and colors. Each piece is shaped and smoothed by tumbling with the tides, sand, waves and time. Every piece of beach glass is a unique discovery from the Chesapeake Bay. Each piece has been created from the sea and no two are alike. Even when the pieces look similar in color... there is always a variety of thickness, shading, and a degree of smoothness and size. Beach Glass is a product of nature that is recycled by the sea.

The Process...
Several times a week we walk the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and search for 'treasures' that have washed up on the beach. Some days we find many pieces of glass and other days we come home empty handed. But the search for the glass is fun and great exercise... and we're helping with beach cleanup!
Next, the glass gets a good cleaning and inspection.
Now the challenge... figuring out what jewelry piece to make from the beach glass... so many sizes... so many shapes... From sailboat pendants to hair clips each finished piece is truly a one of a kind.
